In Tihomir, a remote village in southern Bulgaria, the world seems to breathe a little more slowly. It’s a place suspended in time, tucked between gentle hills, grazing cows, curious goats, and humble homes with gardens full of flowers and homemade treats. Far from the city’s hustle, even the cats take a well-earned break.

That’s where I saw him — along a path leading into a nearby forest, a cat sitting perfectly still on a rock, gazing out at the quiet landscape… or maybe up at the endless sky. His eyes were half-closed, his body completely at ease, with a soft, sleepy stare.
